Awakening Our Compassion for All Species
Our Vision:
We hope that through the concerted and growing efforts of the animal rights and vegan communities worldwide, that we shall see a world one day where we have learned to co-exist with all the other animal species of the world without causing harm or exploitation to any species.
What We Do:
At the AKC we provide support for people involved in vegan outreach and animal activism and we develop and run many different events, programs, courses, workshops and demonstrations. We also assist with other Animal Rights communities where they may request our assistance, whether that be promotion of their programs, providing space for their meetings/events, promoting their programs or events where they may wish to recruit our group members for their activities and events etc.
AKC Animal Sanctuary Food Relief Program:
The Coronavirus (COVID-19) is having a terrible impact on our sanctuaries and due to the closure of non-essential services and activities; sanctuary tours have been cancelled and the much-needed donations that animal sanctuaries rely on are no longer being received.
Because of this, we decided to start the đź•ŠAnimal Kindness Centre Animal Sanctuary Food Relief Programđź•Š.
We have arranged with the managers of a number of IGA Stores that they will leave out for us all their throw away fruit and veg and bread, ready for us to collect to deliver to the sanctuaries.
We also encourage people to consider donating to an animal sanctuary or rescue group if you're able to. They will be needing to care for animals and continue to source food and supplies and pay for veterinary bills for them during this difficult time.
